Talk with your parents or teacher about ideas you have for your business. Ask them to be your mentor.

Start by thinking about how you can create a product or service to meet a need in your community. This is the best way to figure out which products and services will be best sellers.

Use the planning guides listed in the Resources tab to plan out your business and make sure it can be profitable.

Profit is key! If you can’t make a profit on the products you are making, it is a hobby that you enjoy doing, not a business.

With the help of your mentor, create your product and start marketing and selling it to people you already know. Once you have flushed out your product, start asking other businesses in the local area if they will help you sell your product at their store, or have your parents help you sell it online.
